Onuki sensei (Ms. Onuki)
Background
Sensei was born on January 2 in Saitama, Japan. She grew up in Saitama until she was 16 years old.
Sensei came to the U.S. in 2000 as an exchange student at a high school in St. Louis, MO. From her experience, she found that it is her lifelong mission to advocate the Japanese language and culture in the world. After she completed her bachelor's degree in Japan, she started working for a Japanese E-commerce company as a marketing manager for five years. Her experience in a business field enabled her to expand her perspectives of today's Japanese society.
Sensei came back to the U.S. in 2011 as an assistant Japanese teacher at Elkins Pointe Middle School in Roswell, GA. In 2013, she started her master's degree at Kennesaw State University, and also started teaching Japanese to its undergraduate students.

Family
While sensei's father, mother, older brother, and grandmother live in Japan, sensei lives in Marietta, GA with her husband. Sensei met her husband in Georgia, and married in 2013!
