Level 2 Class had a presentation on their Product Development Project. Students created their own lunch menu from American fast food restaurant by adding Japanese popular food. The class voted for the best menu in class. 2nd period: 「わぎゅうドッグ」by James Grimes 「わぎゅうドッグ」はおいしそうで、かわいいですねえ! 3rd period: 「ムキねこまっちゃクッキー」by Kendyl Warmouth & Nicole Tuller とてもおもしろいメニューですね! Also from 3rd period, Andrew Stephens & Andrew Witherington created their menu, ラーメンバーガー and shared with class. ちょっとこわいですね、でもおもしろいバーガーです!

Roswell High School had our first International Night! From the Japanese program, we had a table for calligraphy and origami. We also had a wonderful dance performance. Enjoying special snack (curry rice before the preparation...) Here is the video of the Fishermen's Dance performance! Konnichiwa! We had our first meeting of Japanese Culture Club this year. It has been a while due to COVID, but I am so happy that we can get together again! Thank you for taking the survey, and as I discussed with these students, they will be happy to serve you as our officers. President: Jessica Scislowicz (12th grade) Vice President: Alec Plummer (12th grade) Jessica and Alec will discuss with me on our upcoming meetings. Also, thank you for those of you who are interested in becoming an officer as well! I am thinking to ask you to take turns to be an organizer for a meeting. I will communicate with you through Remind text message. Today, we celebrated the full moon by making Otsukimi-dango, mochi snack. I hope you enjoyed the cooking!
Next month, we are planning to have a Halloween origami craft with some Japanese snack. Date will be announced on the Remind text message! Today, Freeman-sensei announced her retirement to the class. Freeman-sensei contributed herself to develop the Japanese program at Roswell High School, and she always cares about the students. We all love you, Freeman-sensei! A surprise for Freeman-sensei! (Level 3/3H) Japanese students gifted a song video, origami flowers, and letters. 日本語クラス Following students were inducted to Japanese National Honor Society for 2019-20. Congratulations! おめでとうございます!They have completed Level 1-3 courses with average 90%, and they are currently studying in Level 4H. Thank you for your great contribution to the Japanese program by your diligent work!

Level 3, 4 & 5 students had an opportunity to visit Georgia Tech for our field trip. We had an award ceremony for Story Writing Contest where level 4 & 5 students collaborated with GT students to write their own story. Then, we enjoyed talking to our Senpai at the net-working lunch. In the afternoon, we did a scavenger hunt to explore the campus, then visited the college-level Japanese courses. I hope this helped students to get a sense of college life and motivated them to continue studying Japanese at colleges! 卒業生のみなさん、ほんとうにおめでとう!
Circle Sushiという日本のレストランで、ランチをしました。 みなさんと日本語が勉強できて、楽しかったですよ。さみしくなります! RHS students were treated to a tea ceremony!
Thank you for the tea teachers, Ms. Aoyagi, Ms. Matsushima, Ms. McDaniel, and Ms. Saito for the wonderful opportunity! Japanese exchange students visited RHS where they got to experience American school life! These students danced, partied, and played games!
